Our strategy encompasses a merge of both corporate and business strategies to establish a strong positioning as a holding company in our industry. To achieve our business goals, we articulated our strategy into three main components, which are, Business Synergy, Optimized Capabilities and Effective Activity Systems.
The ultimate role for SBH as a holding company is to further grow the business. Hence, our business development efforts are directed towards increasing value for the entire group. This requires SBH to continoulsy align businesses to create synergy between subsidiaries and maximize management of group’s assets. Establishing and maintaining business synergy becomes the underlying principles in SBH’s business activities.
In order to develop new businesses sucessfully, SBH needs to ensure sufficient internal capabilities. Therefore, the second component of our strategy is to continuously build capabilities through synchronizing organizational development programs in the subsidiaries. In addition, sharing capabilities throughout the subsidiaries will optimize the group’s performance.
The final component relates closely with the first two strategy components. Ensuring business synergy and optimizing capabilites require proper coordination among the business units. This requires effective activity systems to be implemented throughout the group. SBH defines policies and initiate internal efforts for implementation of an effective organizational and information system throughout the group’s companies. We believe that appropriate use of technology will support management and operations in achieving our business objectives.
